What should I bring to my appointment?

We recommend that you bring a swatch of your fabric and images of your dress if at all possible, but not essential.

I have wider or narrower feet than usual, can Emmy help me?

Although our Bespoke service does offer shoes made to measure, we don’t offer different width fittings and this would require making a last (the mould for the shoe to be stretched over) for every customer, which isn’t a service we are able to offer. We are always happy to recommend styles that are particularly suited for different foot shapes so do get in touch and we will do our very best to help.

How do I clean my Emmy shoes?

How you clean your Emmy shoes depends what they are made of...

Suede has a very fine nap so please take extra care when cleaning. Emmy recommends using a suede cleaning block called ‘Wolly’. You can buy one of these in most shoe repair shops. You can protect your shoes with a suede spray but please read the instructions fully before using. Do not spray your shoes if you would like to dye them.

Satin can be cleaned using a soft, slightly damp cloth, leave to dry naturally. Spray protection can be used, again do not spray your shoes if you want to dye them.

Leather can be cleaned with a damp cloth, Emmy recommends you use a neutral polish to avoid colour mismatches. Details on the shoes are handmade and very delicate, they are not designed to be worn daily. Beads and trims may be lost or damaged if caught or snagged. Replacement beads for trims can be requested from Emmy.

Can I dye my Emmy shoes?

You can dye the suede and satin parts of your shoes, we recommend a company called Bobbi Specialist Dyer, the contact number is +44 (0) 20 8360 6148. This service costs around £45. Not all colours work well on suede, Bobbi is happy to advise from her experience. Although we are happy to recommend Bobbi, we are unable to take responsibility for any outcome as it is a separate agreement between the client and Bobbi.

I’d like to look at the hair decorations and belts to go with my shoes, do I need an appointment.

My wedding is in 10 months, but my dress fitting is in 1 month, which I need my shoes for, can you help?

We certainly can! Our bridal range is held in stock so you can take your shoes home straightaway. If you opt for our bespoke service we can lend a sample pair of shoes for your fitting.

Where can I buy my Emmy London shoes and accessories?

You can buy online, in person from our London Boutique or from one of our international stockists.

I’m getting married in 2 weeks time, do you have shoes and accessories in stock?

Yes we do, the Bridal and Event collections are held in stock.

My mum is keen to come along and see the Event collection, do we need to book a separate appointment?

We do usually like to book a little extra time for two people so just mention that your Mum is also interested in trying shoes when making your appointment and we’ll make sure you have long enough.

I’d like to go for the Bespoke service, how long does it take and what is the price range?

The service takes 10-12 weeks and prices start at £360 with an average price of £500 - £600, the sky is the limit!
